Saqta (“Saqta”, “we”, “us”) is a personal finance app that helps you track
spending, budgets, and goals. This policy explains what data the app handles,
how it is used, and the choices you have. It applies to the Saqta mobile apps
for iOS and Android.
In short: we collect only what the app needs to work, we do
not sell your data, and we do not use
advertising or cross-app tracking. You can export or delete your data at any
time from inside the app.
1. Data we collect
Account information
Email address — used to sign you in with a one-time code
and to back up and sync your data across your devices.
Accounts (names, balances, currency), categories, savings goals, and your
in-app settings and preferences.
This data is stored to provide backup and multi-device sync. If you use Saqta
without signing in, it stays only on your device.
Spending captured from notifications (Android, optional)
If you turn on the optional “Auto-capture spending” feature on Android, Saqta
reads notifications from the bank and payment apps you choose (for example
Kaspi, Halyk, and Google Pay) for the sole purpose of detecting a payment and
suggesting a transaction for you to review.
This requires you to grant notification access in your
device settings, and you can revoke it at any time.
Notifications are read and parsed on your device. Only
notifications from the supported payment apps are processed.
The raw notification text is never sent to our servers or any
third party. Only a transaction you explicitly confirm is saved
(and synced, if you are signed in), exactly like a transaction you type in
manually.
You can turn this feature off at any time in Settings.
Diagnostics and usage
Crash reports, error messages, app version, and basic in-app events used to
keep the app reliable.
Approximate country, derived from your network request at the time of the
request. We do not store your IP address.
Diagnostic events are sanitized — they do not include your transaction amounts,
notes, or balances.
What we do not collect
No advertising identifiers and no cross-app or cross-site tracking.
No precise location, contacts, photos, or SMS messages.
We do not sell or rent your personal data to anyone.
2. How we use your data
To provide the app: storing your finances and syncing them across your
devices when you sign in.
To provide optional AI features you choose to use (see below).
To diagnose crashes and improve the app’s reliability.
3. Where your data is processed
We use the following service providers to operate Saqta. They process data only
to provide their service to us, under their own terms and security practices.
Cloudflare — hosts our backend and database. Your synced
data is stored here to provide backup and sync. All communication between the
app and our backend is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS).
Anthropic — powers optional AI features (the AI coach and
bank-statement import). These run only when you actively use them on a Pro
plan. When you import a statement, the document is processed to extract
transactions; when you use the AI coach, the relevant transaction context is
sent to generate a response. This data is processed only to provide the
feature and is not used to train models.
Exchange-rate providers — we fetch public currency rates.
No personal data is sent in these requests.
4. Security
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) between the app and our backend.
On your device, your financial data is encrypted at rest, and sign-in tokens
are stored in the platform’s secure storage (iOS Keychain / Android Keystore).
Access to data on our servers is restricted and protected by authentication.
5. Data retention and deletion
You can permanently delete your account and its server-side data at any time
from Settings → Delete account in the app.
You can export all your transactions to a CSV file from
Settings → Export data.
Data stored only on your device is removed when you sign out or uninstall
the app.
6. Children
Saqta is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect
personal data from them.
7. Your rights
You can access, correct, export, or delete your data using the in-app controls
above. For any privacy request or question, contact us at the address below.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected
by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
